The modern leader needs purpose and direction for them selves to enable them to be the best they can be for their teams. This book helps you do that.
The title suggests it’s all about winning BUT, what is your definition of winning? Its only once you know this that you can really play to win. I’ve read and reread this, 2 or 3 times now and each time I take out something useful. Here is the Amazon synopsis;
“Prepares readers to thrive in a fast-changing corporate world, to feel confident enough to take risks, and to align their expectations with their goals”.
This really does not do it justice. If you are interested in being the best you that you can be then this book is for you. It will challenge you to challenge yourself and if you work with the material rather than just ‘read’ it you will take a great deal from it.
Ideal for leaders and managers with an interest in performance and personal development its content can be applied to all aspects of our working and home lives. It is about achieving fulfillment and personal growth. It is filled with insights and very specific guidelines, real-life situations to illustrate key points, and clear rules that highlight the discussion. The book presents steps to take to put intention into action. A key theme is helping the reader to think by learning to stop, challenge and choose, an approach that this book explains in detail.
A great book for getting you to act with intention.
